She is particularly grateful for the criticisms and suggestions of Dr. Herbert B. Maw, Professor Joseph Outside her F. Smith, Ellen Henderson, and Mary J. Webster. own departmental family, the author is most indebted to Dr. N. Alvin Pederson, Head of the English Department at the Utah State Agricultural College, for his careful reading and help in its composition, and to Dr. Georgia B. Johnson for the corrections and suggestions on the psychology of the text. The literary material recommended in this treatise to develop the aims in the lessons outlined in Part II, for high schools and colleges, may be found in the two companion volumes: Interpreta tive Selections for Colleges and Interpretative Selections for High Schools published by The University Publishing Company. These volumes should be in the hands of all students taught by teachers who accept the author's doctrine, which after all is not hers, nor does it belong to any particular school-but is theirs who use it. so |
