Show UMFA DOCENT HISTORY June 1992 June 1993 Educational staff and docents utilized their exceptional powers of adaptability in 1992-93. Without missing a beat they carried on programs and tours until Bernadette Brown, the new curator of eduational services came to the Museum November 30, 1992 Docent meetings were held the 2nd Thrusday of each Special lecturers for the monthly docent meetings were:] Aden Ross - Literature Professor Barkley Hastings - Photographer David Pursley - Salt Lake Art Center Educator Nancy Boscoff - Salt Lake Arts Council Bowren Lecture Bernadette Brown and Charles Loving month. The Salt Lake City-UMFA Partners Program provided 2 presentations and 2 Museum tours for the fourth grades. In addition to tours throughout the school year, a small number of tours were given during the summer of 1993. Tours were given Saturday and Sunday afternoons upon request October through March. The responsibility for these tours rotated among the daily teams. May was Museum Month at Granger Elementary School, Granite District for 755 students. To prepare students for their visit to the Museum, Museum in the Classroom docents visited 2 9 Granger Elementary classrooms from grades kindergarten through 6 to show students how artists use the elements of art in their art works.
