Show EXHIBITION SCHEDULE, 1992 December 1, 1991-January 5, 1992 . Edith carlson Paintings A retrospective look at the abstract paintings of a New York painter now residing in Utah. January 5-February 2, 1992 The Big Print Large format prints by contemporary artists. January 12-February 16, 1992 American Arts and Crafts Movement Decorative arts expressing the political and aesthetic ideals of the Arts and Crafts Movement. These artisans reacted against the mass production of decorative objects. The exhibition is selected from private Utah collections. January 19-February 9, 1992 Salt Lake City High Schools A juried exhibition which presents a selection of the work being done in the studio art classes of the Salt Lake City School District's three high schools. January 26-March 22, 1992 Fritz ~l~henberg: The Praise of Folly The difficult art of wood engraving has a distinguished con!e~porary practitioner in Fritz Eichenberg. This exh1bit1on presents the Museum's livre de luxe, completed by Eichenberg in 1972, which illustrates I.w1 Prajse of foUy, by the 16th century humanist, Erasmus. February 16-March 15, 1992 Words and Images: Robert Motherwell, Robert Rauschenberg and Lee Bontecou An exhibition of printmaking in series by three contemporary artists. February 23-Aprll 5, 1992 Connections: Style, Medium and Subject Matter Prepared by the Education Department of the Museum, this exhibition will present a selection of comparisons from the Museum's permanent collection focusing on medium, subject matter and style. March 29-May 1o, 1992 Intimate Views: Still Life Selections from the Glenn C. Janss Collection of American Realism. The Janss Collection documents the persistence of r~pres"entational art in the 20th century. "Intimate Views features works exewted in a variety of media by artists who depict arrangements of objects from everyday life.· This exhibition features modem interpretations of the still life tradition.
