Show DOCENT DIALOGUE ( .1."'he Utah Museum of Fine Arts, University of Utah Docent Meeting Thursday March 12 Museum Interns Two Museum Interns, Heidi Hart and Dale Fowers, who have been working under the direction of Sue McCoy since last September will present information which will be helpful to docents for future tours. Heidi Hart will discuss "The Changing Image of Mary", a topic which will be useful in touring the Italian and Flemish Galleries. Dale Fowers will talk about "The Bromoil Process in Photography". Dale has done extensive research of the bromoil process, which was used by the photographer George Midgley, who is represented in the Museum's collection. NEW DOCENT CLASS The new docent class will be meeting on Monday and Thursday at 1:00 p.m .. Active docents are invited to attend any of the following meetings: March 2 Monday K. March, 1992 EXHIBITION SCHEDULE, 1992 January 26-March 22, 1992 Fritz Eichenberg: The Praise of Folly The difficult art of wood engraving has a distinguished contemporary practitioner in Fritz Eichenberg. This exhibition presents the Museum's livre de luxe, completed by Eichenberg in 1972, which illustrates The Praise of Folly, by the 16th century humanist, Erasmus. February 16-March 15, 1992 Words and Images: Robert Motherwell, Robert Rauschenberg and Lee Bontecou An exhibition of printmaking in series by three contemporary artists. February 23-April 5, 1992 Connections: Style, Medium and Subject Matter Prepared by the Education Department of the Museum, this exhibition will present a selection of comparisons from the Museum's permanent collection focusing on medium, subject matter and style. March 29-May 10, 1992 Intimate Views: Still Life Selections from the Glenn C. Janss Collection of American Realism. The Janss Collection documents the persistence of representational art in the 20th century. "Intimate Views" features works executed in a variety of media by artists who depict arrangements of objects from everyday life. This exhibition features modern interpretations of the still life tradition. SLC Schools Spring Tours March 3 through April 24, 1992 Please review the blue handouts which were placed in the docent file boxes for objectives and galleries to be used for the Salt Lake School Spring tours. A box of hands-on- medium objects including a woodblock print, brushes, and canvas, will be available for use in the galleries. It is on the docent table downstairs.
