Show 5540 Kirkpatrick- C 3550 THE SPECIAL MASTER: The book by Mr. Freenan entitled The Colorado River, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow, which is Exhibit 81, so far as that consist of history of the river up to the date of the Powell expedition, in view of the testi-mony by Mr. Freeman as to the extent of his studies and investigations, I should think it would be admissible. I shall rule it is admissible as a work of history by a mad who has made a specialty of the kind of travel. The latter portion of the book seems to be a discussion of the nature of the river an its possibilities and probabilities of future development; that I consider entirely inadmissible, MR. FARNSWORTH: Exception. THE SPECIAL MASTER: Now, Mr. Blackmar, we come to Exhibits 15, the book by Mr. Kolb, and Exhibit 50, by Mr. book. If I did offer it, it should be withdrawn, I think there is probably one photograp in there. That is all that think it is admissible. |
