Show from his own ficlds, installe centuries-old paper making appliances from an abandone English mill, and sct to work From the raw materials he mad moulds, rag-pulp, and paper and in the intervals cut punche for a font of type, drove the matrices, and cast it picce by picc in hand mould of his own construction. Five years were spen in preparation before the firs book could be printed, but tha volume is redolent of the individuality that went into it. copy of it, together with tools punches, matrices, moulds, an some of the type, was deposite by Mr. Hunter in the Smithsonfan Institution in 1922, as a exhibi of sixtecnth century typefounding, and the Annual Report of the Museum calls it "th most important individual gift of the year With the passing of time Dar Hunter's major interest has centered on paper making.
