Show 1 T-MN IANGIRLS' GLEE CLUBWILLIAM PETERSON Directorâ- Another year of excellent and continuous activity has again brought credit and praise to the University of Utah Girls' Glee Club, and to its director, Professor William Peterson. â- The Club, comprising some seventy-five fine voices, has acguired a varied and interesting repertoire of songs, both modern and classical. The appearances of the group before Salt Lake City audiences have been frequent, â- Among the fall and winter programs given by the Girl's Glee Club were several before the Women's Business Clubs of the state and before the members of the Ladies' Literary Club. â- The greatest activity of the club, however, took place during the spring quarter. The first and perhaps largest undertaking of the quarter was the presentation of the annual Glee Club assembly at Kingsbury Hallbefore a large and enthusiastic audience. â- A program before the patrons of the Ait Barn followed and was as well received by that audience as was the assembly program by the student audience. Shorter programs were given for the Utah Labor Organizations and for the University of Utah Mothers' Club. â- The girls were requested to provide a portion of the program at one of the series of University "At Home Sundays." The selections given there were greatly enjoyed and appreciated by the select audience present. The soloists for the year have been Marie Fox, soprano; Dorothy Kimball, soprano; and Chester Hirsch, baritone. Mariam Ellis has been the accompanist. The officers of the Club were Doris Snyder, president; Beryl Randall, vice-president; and Barbara Strong, secretary-treasurer.i~ ' }.
