Show Utah 21 B.Y.U. 6At Salt Lake City Oct. 14, 1933â- Gathering some pointers from the U.S.C.-W.S.C. fracas in L.A. the previous Saturday, the Redskins "railed" home to direct efforts toward ousting Brigham Young U's desperate bid to seize their first victory in Y-U's 10-game grid history. "The Cougars failed in their aspirations for the championship class and the Ute Redskins, abated by a great 4th quarter scoring splurge, amassed a 21-6 triumph. â- Pete Wilson, supreme Y ace, left tacklers pondering as he led his team-mates' bid. Twisting, wriggling, side - stepping, and driving, he carried the Young's serious challenge for nearly 3 quarters to a 6-7 tune. â- Rich-ins' 103 yards in 20 tries and the newly placed Kramer's 76 yards in 11 tries showed most of Utah's ball-toting strength. Cowley's passes of 44 and 37 yards, Westphal's defensive work, line-smearing by Ostler, Reeve, and McKenzie, La-Comb's generalship, Captain Nisonger's and Warner's forward - wall play, were other highlights of the game."Ik, iV ,5V$.W'sMt.V:^iii^«]jiSp^>rH 11J"k!V j. «£, * •<* fSW * * â- »*?'» i* »i2* • :'mm vW*t,!",'4 H •£-* *♦* ,•*"#* * .**. *<iISSpJfSSflllf!l:^>tCowleyquarterbackRinaldihalfbackSwanendillVm|£till|»:One Hundred Eighty-iour |
