Handicapped as it was by size, weekly issuance, and small appropriation, this choice showed definitely the fine journalism which was prevalent during the year. â- The Chronicle, each week of the school year, presented a definitely clear view of the campus happenings in an impartial manner. The editorials dealt primarily with campus problems and were of a strong, searching quality. Throughout the year, the columns of the paper were devoted to the advancement of student benefits. In this way, the Chronicle helped to formulate student opinion concerning many problems and thus pointed the way to proper solutions. â- Working carefully under Editor Sheffield, the Chronicle staff gathered and wrote the news in such a manner as to prove pleasing to the student body. One edition of the paper was devoted to the annual engineers' celebration, while another, the freshman edition, featured the achievements of the first-year class. The latter was issued by a freshman staff as is the traditional custom. â- The business staff, headed by Ray Fisher, business manager, handled financial matters more efficiently and capably than for many years past.Tanner RichardsonStevenson StockmanDaly McOwenTwo Hundred Sixty-four |
