Show 1 T4«NIAN IwWilliam C. WinderEditorUTONIANâ- In the 1935 Utonian we present a compact panorama of the current school year, in picture and work attempting to perpetuate its people and events. Of course only limited space can be given its various parts, so the burden of showing each function in its relative importance has been left to our judgment. In this presentation it has been our aim to be fair to make the book representative of the whole school rather than of any group or section. â- We have spared no effort in our attempt to put the school and its people in a true light, bringing out through our art work its physical beauties, as well as otherwise featuring those genuine though often elusive values that have made our years here so precious. The production of this record has required continuous hard work and planning, but it has been interesting and instructive work. â- The size and prestige of the University of Utah merit, in our opinion a larger book than this one, offering space and opportunity for a more comprehensive portrayal of its varied functions and activities. However, the still existing financial stringency has affected us along with all like institutions throughout the country, so it has been our aim to offer added quality and lasting dignity in place of double quantity. H So here, then, with relief and without regret, we offer you our book . . . We do it in the hope that it will please and that in future days it will aid in the recapture of happy and worthwhile memories.RichardsTannerSorensonAnsonFausStockmanCarlstonDeBordParksMcOwen Skidmore TanchuckTwo Hundred Sixty-two |
