Show -19- by given to the said Colorado River Compact, and to the said Lower Division States Agreement, shall be deemed to be withdrawn and this Resolution rescinded, and the same shall thereby become and be null and void. Be it further resolved, That there hereby is authorized and created a legislative commission, to be known and designated as the Lower Division Colorado River Commission of the State of Arizona, which shall consist of the President of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, three members of the Senate to be appointed by the President of the Senate, and three members of the House of Representatives to be appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives; and the Governor of the State and the State Water Commissioner shall be ex officio members of said commission. Said Lower Division Colorado River Commission shall have authority, and upon request of the Legislatures of the States of California and Nevada, or of either thereof, or of any committee of the Congress of the United States, it shall be its duty as a committee of the whole, or through a sub-committee, to confer with the duly authorized representatives of the Legislatures of the said States of California and Nevada or with any committee of the Congress of the United States, to discuss with such representatives or with any such committee the several provisions and terms of the said Colorado River Compact and of the said Lower Division States Agreement, and to negotiate with such representatives or committees respecting any and all matters connected with or relating to the waters of the Colorado River, their division, appropriation, diversion and utilization, or with the improvement of |
