Show -30- That the consent and approval of the Legislature of Arizona is hereby given to a compact signed at the city of Santa Fe, New Mexico, on the 24th day of November, 1922, under and in accordance with the authority of the Act of Congress approved August 19, 1921, entitled "An Act to permit a compact or agreement between the States of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming, respecting the disposition and apportionment of the waters of the Colorado River, and for other purposes," which compact was signed by the representative commissioners of the States of Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah and Wyoming and the representative appointed by the President of the United States under said Act, which compact is as follows: [The text of the Colorado River Compact which appears in full here has been omitted.] Resolved, further, that this Resolution be spread upon the Journals of the House of Representatives and the Senate, and that copies hereof be duly engrossed and signed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives and President of the Senate in such number as to allow one of said copies to be forthwith forwarded by the Governor of Arizona to the Governors of the other signatory States herein mentioned, and to the President of the United States, accompanied by official notice of the Governor of Arizona of the approval b)^ this Legislative Assembly of said Compact. |
