Show Congress of the United States of America shall fail, refuse or neglect, within the period of two years immediately succeeding the date of the adoption of this Resolution by the Legislature of the State of Arizona, to give consent to, and ratify, approve, confirm and accept as terms of said Colorado River Compact, each and all of the said several conditions of ratification and approval of said Colorado River Compact by the Legislature of the State of Arizona, hereinbefore expressed and contained, according to the full tenor and effect thereof, then, and in such events, or any thereof, the ratification by the Legislature of the State of Arizona, of said Colorado River Compact is and shall be deemed forthwith withdrawn, this Resolution Rescinded, and the same thereby rendered null and void without further or other action on the part of the Legislature of the State of Arizona.', and as amended, it do pass. A. M. Carwford [sic] Chairman." Motion by Mr. Crawford, seconded by Mr. Hannon, that the report of the Committee of the Whole House be received. Carried. Without objection House Concurrent Resolution No. 1, relating to Colorado River Compact, as amended by the Committee of the Whole House, was referred to the Committee on Enrolling and Engrossing, to be enrolled and engrossed for Third Reading. |
