The decorations of each were characteristic of the Utah spirit and the football season. Later, as a fitting climax to the Homecoming week, the ballroom was filled with expressions of joy as alumni rejoined the students in a jubilant reunion.Imbued with the holiday spirit, the New Year's party, the first of its kind to' be held by the A. S. U. U. dance committee, was unparalleled for uniqueness. Dazzling winter scenes, father time and little new year, whistles, horns and bells all incited the holiday throng to exuberant merrimaking.Colorful decoration and clever plans accounted in a large measure for the success of the Valentine, St. Patrick, and Easter dances. The committee consisted of Chick Otterstrom, chairman, Dee Parkinson, Mary Boden, Calvert Sheldon, Patricia McKendrick, Beatrice McCrea, and James Beless; all of whom worked hard for the success of the year. One Hundred Eighty |
