Show ^Every person who attended the 1936 Junior Prom was aware of the illimitable efforts spent by the committee under the chairmanship of Albert Heiner. His ability, coupled with energy, and decorated with originality, produced an affair almost unparalleled in brilliance with any former function.Albert HeinerChairmanTen-thirty, Promenade Evening7l *e Jumat[JJfcawiei<i<zJLeNever was there a more minutely planned party, such elaborate decorations, and such sartorial splendor as was evidenced at the 1936 Junior Promenade, which was held in the Union building on the evening of March I, affording the students an elaborate climax to the Prom week.A novel decoration scheme was carried out in the "Ship of Joy" idea, the ballroom, little theatre, lounges, and game rooms being decorated.Two lighthouses from the Union building steps first greeted the guests, and bathed the surroundings in alternate beams of blue and white. Smart-looking ship officers stood in attendance at the foot and top of the gangplank, and large figures of officers flanked each side of the ballroom entrance. Inside the ballroom, graceful white yachts against a blue background illuminated with yellow lights were on the panels around the dance floor.
