Show Kinner High Jumps fcr BasketeersUTAH 57, 55 - MONTANA STATE 49, 46The towering giantsâ€"Kinner, the seasoned veteran, and Orlo Childs, an amazing reserve recruitâ€"led Utah back into the midst of a grueling conference struggle as the Crimson recipients of two setbacks the week previous, countered with a double victory over Montana State's stubborn Bobcats on January 21-22. The much discussed opening tilt saw the Utes fight from a tie in the closing minutes to a 57-49 triumph. Shifted to forward, Kinner proved his versatility with a remarkable all-around game, while the giant Childs astounded fans with a point tally of 27. Injuries to Kramer and Miller worried Coach Peterson as his charges entered Saturday's fray.â- Clearly outplayed throughout the first half as the Cats swept into a 27-19 lead, the Crimson, once more led by Kinner and Childs, set their offense to functioning and with remarkable rustling pushed to a 55-46 conquest at the final gun. Callis and Bolic played well, while Childs raised his series scoring totai to forty-five.ORLO CHILDS"Flagpole" Childs broke into basketball limelight through his shooting accolade alone.
