Show • • Dr. Clarence Snow Board of Regents U NDER the direction of the Board of Regents, the highest executive group connected with the University of Utah, a remarkably high record in scholarship, athletics, and extra-curricular activities has been made. This body, headed by Dr. Clarence C. Snow, and composed of fourteen of the most capable men in the state, has as its most important function the approval of the annual budget as presented by the administration. This includes the appointment of new instructors, and the distribution of the money apportioned to the school each year by the state. In addition to Dr. Snow, who is chairman of the Board, the officers of the body are Thomas Hull, secretary, and Edgar S. Hills, treasurer. Secretary of State Milton H. Welling, and President George Thomas are ex-officlo members of the Board. Appointed members of the body are as follows: D. H. Christen-sen, John E. Carver, J. W. Robinson, Dr. John J. Galligan, Mrs. Edward Rosen-baum, James W. Wade, Mrs. Dan B. Shields, Dr. Arthur C. Wherry, Thomas A. Williams, Mrs. J. W. Aird, and Robert H. Hinckley. Page 19 |
