Show Wrestling Smith, Johnson, Blomquist, Day, Holt, Saunders Foulger, Holmgren, Risner D AYS of strenuous drilling gave polish to the eight teams consisting of forty wrestling competitors, which resulted in many close and furious tussles in the interfraternity feuds. First-round results were: Barbs defeated Betas, I I-1 I (toss of coin); Sioma Nu No. I waylaid R. O. T. C, l33/4-l2/2; Sigma Chi vanquished Sigma Pi, 16-5; Sigma Nu No. 2 defeated the Pi Kaps, 19-5. Both Sigma Nu teams triumphed in the semifinals and took first and second place points without a play-off. Te ENNIS was the opening sport of the year's program. Sixteen teams of campus non-lettermen opened play early in October. R. O. T. C.'s racquet wielders (Alter, Glade, Magdelin) left Sigma Nu No. I and 2 and Davis Alumni in the wake of their march to the finals. Sigma Chi's three court wizards defeated Phi Pi Phi, and Engineers with ease to gain a final berth. In the exciting title-deciding tilts Sigma Chi nosed out the Army, 2-1.
