Show w . . . 9 3 4 Dr. George Thomas The President r RESIDENT GEORGE THOMAS Is the embodiment of all the finer aspirations of the university. In working toward their realization he has made his name synonymous with all that is good in the school. Few men have the keen insight into students' needs and the happy solution of them that he has. The larger pattern of his aim has, from the very beginning been to build a greater university, and into this he has fashioned, in his quiet, unpretentious way, the solving of the problems hourly confronting him. By a meticulous attention to details, by an openness to suggestion, by a spirit of honesty, Integrity, and tolerance he has achieved the larger outline of his ideal. Under his administration the facilities of the university have increased, the course of study has expanded, and the faculty membership grown. His judicious, economic, and efficient ways of meeting the demands of a growing student body and the exacting requirements of a newer education have found expression in this material growth. Page 18 |
