Show V___f Erekson, Kramer, Brooks, Kinner, Mecham Richins, Watts, Weisley, Bennion, Lund Ed Colson, Johnson, Buehner, Em Colson, Larson Basketball H ISTORY repeated itself in the Indian basketball camp this season. A hectic campaign provided thrills and glory In abundance. At the outset, three score of prospects reported at the coach's beckoning. Many combinations were tried and much shifting effected in Coach Vadal Peterson's effort to select a formidable quint. Henry's Clothiers, national A. A. U. champs; Olson's Terrible Swedes, another travelling troupe; Granite Mart and United Billiards, local independant teams, all provided preseason trials. The highlights of individual play featured the sparkling work of Captain Dick Lund in the roll of scoring and defensive guard and the phenomenal scoring of Bill Kinner and Harry Brooks, ace frosh regulars. Bolh of these first-year men led all scorers in Western Division play. Captain-elect Grart Bennion's display of pass interception and Taft Watts sensational scoring sprees were pleasing to coach and crowd alike. Page 254 |
