"Don't you believe him?" he said to the Professor? "He's one of the most demanding teachers we've got? I t ' s true, most of our students are there because their parents want them there. We do our best to get them interested?" "That's what I mean? we're baby-sitters?" his colleague said? "I mean get them interested in going on - getting an education?" t h e i r host said? "How many do?" The Professor looked around for his wife? She was a l i t t le apart talking to the young i n s t r u c t o r ' s German wife. He wanted desperately to change the subject.
