Even as he sat doxm and began confirming the Professor's schedule, he seemed about to leap out of his chair. He xas probably a t home with the kind of schedule he had arranged. The Professor no longer xas. "I guess," the Instructor said, " i t ' s about time to leave for the luncheon. I ' l l just go and drop these things in my office." "We'll meet you outside by the elevator," the Professor's friend told him. He and the Professor put on t h e i r overcoats. Outside in the hallxay, there xas s t i l l the bustle of students and faculty, getting axay for the noon hour. They xrere joined by another of the Professor's old friends, the former Chairman of the Advisory Committee, who greeted the Professor xarmy, said xrhat a surprise i t xas to hear he xas back.
