The son-in-law called his daughter into the kitchen, and she returned in a moment with their two drinks on a small metal tray* "There will be snacks in a minute," she said. "I made them while you were gone." 1 "How n i c e , " her mother said. When they had t h e i r drinks in their hands, and the g i rl had returned to the kitchen, his daughter spoken again. "I hardly recognize her," she said. "I think she's trying to show you how grown up she i s ." "I'm f l a t t e r e d , " the Professor replied. "Don't l e t her grow up too f a s t , "though."
