The actor, xrhen he paused to shake hands xrith the Professor, said he'd hsxx l i k e to talk xrith him sometime about the differences betxrcen comedy and tragedy. The Professor said it would be a pleasure. He meant i t , and he beliyed-the actor xas not simply making a pleasantry by his statement. The Canadian, before ho l e f t , xrished the Professor good luck in the xreeks ahead a t the University. The Professor did not knoxr xrhether or not this xas a sincere wish. The children, their ears a l e r t for the sounds of departure, had come out of t h e i r room to participate in the leave taking. The dog, too, got up from where he had been lying in a corner, and seemed to be helping speed the guests on their xay.
