Favorite, Division Inspector, Interior Department, San Francisco, California. Sir: In a letter dated August 14, 1915 (150406, "G", DVM),1 addressed to the Register and Receiver at Los Angeles, California, a copy of which was sent to your office, this office considered an inspector's report dated September 30, 1914, in the Palo Verde Mutual Water Company and approved that company's irrigation project, as a source of water supply for desert land entries. In connection with the final proof submitted on February 5, 1926 by Madge L. Carpenter, on her desert land entry Los Angeles 040104, (formerly El Centro 05335), for the Ey2 SE}i, SW}i SE^4, and lot 1, Sec. 2, and lots 3 and 4, Sec. 1, T. 8 S. R. 22 E., S.B.M., there was filed a certificate signed by O. W. Malmgren, assistant secretary of the Palo Verde Irrigation District, in which the following paragraph appears: "I further certify that the said irrigation district did on December 12, 1925, consummate the purchase all of the canal system operating properties and water rights of the Palo Verde Mutual Water Company thereby giving all the irrigable land within the district boundaries an appurtenant water right." iCalif.
