L.'K, #3199, on August 28th 1907, at the Tucson-Arizona, Land Office, for ( with other land } the 8. W. \ OP Sec. 9, Twp 8 r., R. 22 west: G. &. B. R. Her. t that at the time he made Bald entry he had reason to believe, and did believe, that he could secure a permanent and sufficient water I supply therefor through the Irrigation system constructing, and to be constructed.by the Rookland Canal and ImproTement Co., and its suc-oessors and assigns t that thereafter the successor and assign of said Canal' Company, to-wit; the Colorado Delta Canal Company abandoned all attempts tc construct an irrigation system covering the land em-braced in said entry, for the reason that the Government of the U. S., through Its Reolamation Serrloe, and under the'"provisions of thtjket of June 17th, 19ol, determined upon and proceeded to construct what is known as the " Ytma Project" on the Colorado River: that affiant was then forord to construct a pumping plant to reclaim eaid land, and did so construct taid pumping, in conjunction with others, tfut that the unprecedented high water in the Gila River* from January 2oth, 19o5, until into the summer of said year, by flooding said land, destroy- lag his Improvements thereon and rendering it impossible to go upon ¦aid lfcnd for many months, it fceoame utterly impossible for him to have said land in a fit condition of HSKXSOXXH reclamation to make final proof thereon on or before Aug. 28th, 19o6, the expiration of the four years from date of entry.
