I can't remember how much we paid into LK GO LK it. I think they solicited like a dollar per family or per person to start the canteen. Now, each barrack was divided into 6 apart-ments. And let's see, One was -The barracks 20 feet wide, wasit? So a medium size family wouldlive n a room that's 20 x 20. Another 20 x 30 another 20xl0. Now, our family only consisted of my grand-mother and my mother and myself. We had these small end apartment. This is now your stepmother's mother, right? No She died. It was my parternal grandmother. - "i' ,. .,..-.\0 Oh, your father'smother. So it was your step mother that diedn Tanfo f~il , Right. ok. So it was the three ofyou then. RO Yes. And the Nakamoto family lived next to us. THey had the gand father and the two children. Let's see. Another -my mother's sister's family lived next to tl ,at becuase they only had four in the family which is a medium sized family. LK So di d you have 20x20 or 20xl0. RO 20xl0. LK HOw diqyou have that room arranged. What wasit like in there. GO Well, it wasn't long before we were able to request alarger room, medium size room. Becuase there were more barracks than necessary. Some people left- or relocated themselvesimmediately. And so, there was a vacated medium size apt. inthe same block. So we did move . |
