Show - 27- FO: They used to trespass there? DL: Then BLM, you know, we trespass em. They can't use that land and the outfit I used to work for they used to work for the Dark Canyon, they trespass them too. They can't use that country no more. GT: No more, huh. FO: But did you herd up there in that trespass area? DL: Yah, I was working at that time. I worked a long time, you knox^. GT: Are there still some cattle outfits like that operating today? DL: Um hum. They still run cattle but when I was working, there was one outfit, it was a lot of outfit, right down Mesa, Arizona down there. I was saying this outfit was bigger than that but they split it into two outfits. GT: I see. What was the name of it, do you remember? DL: One of them was the TY and the other x\ ras a guy from Texas. His name was " Doc." GT: Doc? DL: Yah. And they bought half of that. They went on the White Canyon side. GT: I see. DL: They split it in two and then I was working and I work for that White Canyon for a long time again and then they run out of money, you know, and they laid me off. Ever since then I can't go back to work. FO: When they laid you off did you move down here to White Mesa or did you go over to Allen Canyon? |
