I was top boy, you know, I know how to x^ ork and nobody to tell me what to do but I go. FO: Did you like being alone out there? DL: Yah. FO: Were you all alone out there with those cows. DL: Um hum. FO: And how long would you go without seeing somebody else. DL: Oh, maybe a month, little over a month sometimes. Cause the snow was too deep over the mountain. That's the only way they went, you know. And that mountain sometimes ? . FO: When the snow got deep did you ever run out of food and have to eat coxtfs or something? DL: No. FO: They always got there. DL: They always had food. Black coffee mostly. I like coffee. FO: Yah. Flour? DL: And sometimes I'd go hunting. At that time you could, nowadays you can't do it. |
