DL: They enrolled with the Navajo. FO: I see. GT: You said it was in Paiute Canyon? DL: Um hum. FO: Do you go over there still to visit? DL: Yah, I go down there sometimes but I haven't been dovm there for two years. FO: I see. DL: Because I stay over here and I've got no job and I used to OX< TQ good horses and I used to just take off from here. AD: He used to work at the Trading Post on Navajo Mountain. FO: Oh, you x^ orked at the Trading Post on Navajo Mountain. Who ran the trading post? DL: Madeline Owens, they used to call her. FO: Madeline Olds? DL: Ox^ ens. GT: Owens. DL: Then she married another man they call him Cameron, from Salt Lake. FO: Cameron. DL: Yah, Mr. Cameron, but he died. Both of them died and finally they- well before that there x^ as the Weathers, you know. That x^ as a long time ago. |
