DL: Um hum, some of them they raised alfalfa. That's a good country over there, you knoxtf. Nobody uses it anymore. GT: Did you raise melons or squash? DL: Yah, they raise a few of them too. No beans, just them melons and corn. FO: Um hum. I want to go back to where you were over on Navajo Mountain when you xrere a little guy. DL: Um hum. FO: Were there Christian churches there or were your religious things the old way. Which . . . AD: ( Ute.) DL: The way I remember, there x^ as nothing except them white guys that come around. They were some kind of churches but they pray, you know. I was guiding for them guys and they talk nighttime, have church for them. GT: That's when you were going to Rainbow Bridge? DL: Yah, uh huh.
