And do you remember his parents- his mother and father? DL: No, I didn't see them. FO: You didn't see them. What was your mother's name? DL: Susie. FO: Susie what? DL: They call her Susie Willatsa. FO: Willatsa? DL: Um hum. FO: Willatsa, what does that mean, anything? DL: There was a man she was married to. That's why we've got that W on my social security card. FO: I see. Where v? as she from? DL: Navajo Mountain. FO: And were her parents always over there or did they come in there from somex^ here? DL: No, they was right there when I was born. FO: I see. And did she have relatives over to like Moccasin, or Kanab or in that area? DL: Well they said, but I didn't see them. Most of them Paiutes came from that side and landed that way and some of them landed over at Oljato and that's why they come over here. |
