Road irom Beaver to Fremont Pass good; near Panqaitch settlement difficult on account of water- ditchts. , From Beaver to Navajo Wells, road good, except in wet weather, when it becomes very hid; grass along road very scant, and insufficient to decently support animals on the march. From Navajo Wells to Ferry- landing, road is good till it passes over Kaibab Plateau, where it becomes rough. ' To Jacob's Pool, road sandy in places; good to month of Paria, but crosses a number of arroyoa. To Navajo Springs, good made road round springs; excellent to Limestone Pockets and beyond, till it passerdivide, when it becomes sandy.
