Cape York. This species seems to be common all over the Old World with the exception of Europe. Family H Y P S I DM. Genus HYPSA, Hiibner. 43. HYPSA DAMA. Noctua dama, Fabricius, Sp. The single specimen sent has the primaries so much rubbed that I cannot be certain that it is the true H. fenestrata ; but if not, it is a nearly allied species. Family URANIID^E.
