On plates 1- A, 2- A, 3- A, 4- A, and 5- A, are shown the cross- sections of the river. An examination of these cross- sections will show that, in general, the maximum depth is not more than 20 or 25 per cent, in general, greater than the mean depths. By Mr. Blackmar: Q Well, now, that disposes of all the plates, except -- ? A Plate 10 is an indication of the width of the rivers, compared to different depths. It needs, I think, no explanation.
