Show 6121 4121 without characterizing it as important, valuable, or other-wise. It seems to be a handy compendium of other original data, and it seems to me it will be of service, but I will give my own characterization of its value. A The character of the river has been shown the vary so much, depending upon the flow. The flow, as I see it, materially changes the characteristics of the river. Now, if the river is described at a time when the flow is a cer-tain amount, it is of value without going through all of the records to have in ready form the number of days throughout each month, based upon the records when the flow has been below or above this amount. When you speak of the average flow of a river, there are such a very few days in the year that the flow is the average amount -- only about 25 per cent of the year. For the remainder of the year the river is below the average flow or above the average flow, and this table ( indicating) shows how many days the river is above or below on the day that may desired -- I mean, any flow that has occurred on the river.
