Show 6132 574 Hoyt- D 4132 one there, we will get right through with that. A Plate 5 is base on measurements made at Lees Ferry, 1921 and 1922; some thirteen measurements being used for 1921 and some 80 measurements being used for 1922. The first curve on the plate shown the approximate relation between the stage of the gage height and the flow of the river; these are based on the measurements made covering the entire range in stage. This relation is approximate only, as are all of the relations shown on these plates, because of the fact that the rivers are subject to occur and fill, and no one curve can accurately depict the true relation between those amounts. The first curve shows that the discharge varied from about 5000 second- feet, or less, far a gage height of about 7 feet, to approximately, 115,000 second- feet for a gage height of 20 feet; in other words, with a 13- feet rise in stage at Lees Ferry, the discharge increases from 5000 to 115,000. This curve ( indicating) shows the rate of change and gives the approximate discharge for any stage. These curves ( indicating) are the basis of the fall of the stream flow |
