Show 6146 4146 connection with the preparation of material, I have attempted to work up from the measurements made at the gaging station, which were made primarily for the purpose of determining stream flow, what the depths and velocities were at the gaging stations, as shown by the measurements -- By Mr. Blackmar: Q Now, right there, Mr. Hoyt, given the gage readings, are you able by computation to determine the depths? A Not the gage height alone you would have to have a study of the gage heights and discharge measurements, from which the actual depths and cross- sections were obtained. Q Very well. Now, given the gage heights and the discharge measurements, are you able from that to determine depths? A I am able to determine depths and velocities, with reference to certain gage heights which are shown on these plates ( Indicating on exhibit). By The Special Master: Q Knowing the constant width of the stream at that |
