Show Interview: Duv~n Luj~n Page Twenty Three ~ answer to nobody except to whoever is in power at that time, rather than have objectives and principles, and unfortunately the organi-zation has been dependent on some very dedicated people however, I don't think that there is a lot of dedicated people, but ... what they really need is that if they have a place to live, if they have a place to meet, from there you will find someone or someones that will continue somehow, it doesn't necessary has to be here in Albuquerque where we have a building or ... Wyoming or some other places, it can be in any for almost any area that has a place to live and meet, somebody can be developed from that area to continue the issues ... it is amazing, . but the G.I. Forum as an organization such as ours live and dies based on the issues, that is community issues sometimes state or national issues, in other words if there is a problem ... fine if you have something to .go for, you got unity, if there are no problems than you die, you might say you get fat lazy, I can tell you my own experience here in this building, I didn't not participate in the building of the original building here, I became a member after it was build, I just helped to pay for it, but in the new addition that we have in which ~was the primary member, in this whole area of the building ... while the building i& been talked about we have all kinds of volunteers,but when the building begins to go up and the work has to be done ... the volunteers dissapear, it becames a cozy type of set up it becomes an embarr~ment type of set up and all kinds of things to |
