Description | In 1950, the people of the United States learned that the Communist danger meant more than cold words, icy communiques, and precipitous withdrawals from meetings. They were made aware in sentences punctuated by machine gun, mortar, artillery, and small arms fire. For the Communists bent on world domination had attacked a land little known to most Americans, Some who served their occupation duty there after World War II had laughingly called it frozed Chosen, but in English it had a clear sound, Korea. |
