Show THE FALL OF MAN The subject of the ''FaU of, Man" is a popular teaching today. It is al most ,entirely laid aside in the modern day pulpits. Very little knowledge is had of the fall of mankind and the depths of the evil in the human heart caused by the fall of Adam. not In the place of teaching people what God in His Holy Word says about men kind, we hear the theories of man con cerning himself. From our pulpit and press today we hear that man is inherently good, that man is in the image of God, that man is sufficient of himse.f to do all things for himself. Let us look into the Word of God and see what He says ebout it. God's Word alone is to be relied upon as a guide of truth to all of us. Paul says-" tha:t ye might learn us not to think of men above that which is written." I Cor. 4:6. If we a-e not to think of man above that which is written, then the scriptures or the Word of God, must reveal the true na ture of mankind. Let us look into the mirror or the Word of God, and then after we see the true picture of our selves, let us not straightway forget .... in 1 . |
