Show thority to change the teachings of Christ to teach the teachings of men? Such as confessing to men for foregive ness of sins, infant baptism, purgatory, praying to Mary and many other such teachings. All these false teachings CAUSE APOSTASY FROM THE TRUTH. They have NO AUTHORITY except man's word, and IT SHALL NOT STAND. Jer. 44:28. Where do Latter Day Saints get their Authority to LAY ASIDE THE TEACH INGS OF THE BOOK OF MORMON, which was given to the Gentiles and Jews, as a SECOND WITNESS to ac It was to make company the Bible? to all who believe, THE WON plain DERFUL PLAN OF SALVATION, laid by our Creator from the foundation of the world. Where we ask do they get their Authority to discard the teach ings of this book, which God gave to us and told His special witnesses of it bear record OF THE BOOK AND THE THINGS THEREIN. (This means the teachings of the Book). Book of Mormon Reorg. Ed. page 150:133,135. Utah Ed. 96:12,14. Jesus. tells us on he page 724: 105-Ut. Ed. 486: Ill, that believeth THESE THINGS which I HAVE SPOKEN, him will I VISIT with to It • 18 • the manifestations of my Spirit; AND HE SHALL KNOW AND BEAR REC ORD (witness of)." Thus we see by this that all who believe the teachings of the Book of MormonWILL BE VISITED BY THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST TO KNOW THE TRUTH AND TO BEAR RECORD OF IT (this is to have Authority). In the LIGHT OF THIS again we ask where do they get their Authority to disregard the teachings of this precious record to teach in its stead man's teachings such as, a Trinity, degrees of Heaven, another chance for salvation after this life, high priests after Christ, baptism or of land children, redemption (ground) and many other false teach ings, which are contrary to the Bible and the Book of Mormon, the WORD OF GOD. Other denominations teach such doctrines as "once saved always saved," total annihilation of the wick ed, soul sleeping, etc. These are the precepts of men, and we find in Isa. 29:13; Isa. 9:16 with the Book of Mor mon Reorg.
