The Son, or the tabernacle of' His spir. it was the word made Ilesh," It was the tabernacle of His servitude for man. emt. ,worship: " who" knew not GOd's 'Will concerning them. Rom. 4:15; Rom. 5:13. Rev. 13:8 tell us, He, "the tamb was slain from the 'foundation of the world." We know this is true, for God is un changeable. He is the same yesterday. today and forever. He had laid this plan before the foundation of the world. l st Peter 1: 19, 20. Therefore, the salva tion of those who had received of 'His was as sure grace before His coming His plan since as it is tor us who accept His coming. "The word was God and the word was made flesh." The second step is to understand that God, Himself, came into the world and took upon Himself flesh and blood, and because of His dwelling in the flesh, which tabernacle He created. (Heb. 8:2; Heb. 9: 12;) He was called the Son of God. "The Christ." He was both God and Man. both Master and Serv10 The statement of John 3: 16, "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son," did not refer to another being that was given' but His own flesh and blood. As 'it' says in Acts 20:28, "The church of God which He hath purchased with His own blood:' This body was "The lamb that was prepared," "The Word or promise made flesh," "God with us," that He had promised since the world began. Thus in the great plan of God for man's salvatLon we see that the Creator who made us also redeemed us. Col. 1: 14 to' 17; Isa. 54:5. Only as we understand such great love can we look away from self and comprehend that whosoever will look unto Him may be saved. This is what it means to believe on Him. While He dwelt here on this earth He conducted Himself as a servant. Gal. . - 11 |
