Show Thus all mankind will be resurrected before the judgment seat of Christ, those under His mercy coming forth in the first resurrection to reign with Him a thousand years. This is not for the purpose of being taught scdvot'on, but be cause of salvation which has been granted unto them, and they shall not taste of the second death or eternal separation from God. Those not under the mercy of God shall be s'ADarated from God forever. The word of God says the punishment of the wicked "was a3 eternal as the life of the soul should be. affixed opposite to the plan of happiness, which was as e ternd also as the life of the soul." Thus the punishment of the wicked continues as loner to the wicked, as the happiness of the redeemed does to the ricrhteous. This we know i everlasting for God hath said. (Perce 454:98). "All people, and all k;ndreds, and all p,aUons and tongues shall stand before God, to be judged cf their works, whether they be good or whether they be evil; if they be good, to the resurrection of ever Ictstincr life: and if thy be evil, to the res urrection of domncflcn, being on a para IIp-I, the one 01:1 the one hand, and th.e other on the other hand, accordinq to the mercy, 'and the justice, and the holinees which is in Christ, who was before the world began." With David, the righteous can soy, "As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness." (Page 670:32-33 and Ps. 17:15).
