These twelve men were to go into all the world and witness to all mankind of the Gospel, THE SAVIOR. They were to TEACH CHRIST'S WORDS, NOTHING VARY· lNG, AND HIS REDEEMING WORK ON CALVARY AND RESURRECTION FROM THE DEAD. Those who be lieved their testimony were also to become WITNESSES AND MINISTERS OF THE WORD OF GOD. Acts 2:18,21. He has prom ised His Spirit to all who believe and obey His words, so we have the Au thority-THE PLAN and the Power THE SPIRIT OF GOD. When some of the disciples of Jesus forbade others to teach and told Christ of so doing, he said, "forbid them not, he that is not against us, IS FOR US." Cain and Abel both were privileged to offer unto God, but only Abel's offering was accepted, it being IN HARMONY WITH GOD'S WORD. While Cain was rejected because it was in HIS OWN WAY HE SOUGHT TO WORSHIP GOD. The same is true of us, our blood on the altar is Jesus and we must come according to his words and walk in his ways. Ministers can teach the word of God, but no one can yield our hearts in obedience to it, but ourselves. Minis ters can be a benefit to their fellow beings ONLY AFTER THEY HAVE BEEN PARTAKERS OF THE WORD OF GOD THEMSELVES.
