Show them in which they might repent was called A DAY OF PROBATION. Book of Mormon Reorcr, Ed. page 85:105 to lID, Utah Ed. 54:19 to 22. This day of probation was granted unto cording man ac the foreknowledge and PLAN OF REDEMPTION, laid by GOD HIMSELF. God only laid ONE PLAN to BY WHICH MAN COULD BE RE· DEEMED. Man of himself COULD NEVER HAVE EFFECTED A RECONCIUA· TION WITH GOD, neither of himself would HAVE DESIRED TO. Due to the fell, the nature of ALL MANKIND had become contrary to the nature of God. MAN NO LONGER DESIRED GOD'S WAYS, he preferred his own way, which is evil. "There is a way which SEEMETH RIGHT UNTO A MAN, but the end thereof are the WAYS OF DEATH." Provo 14: 12. condemned man, they rose up against him, crying, "crucify him" and sen tenced Him to the cruel death of cruci fixion. He suffered their judgment upon Him, that all men mkrht again stand before Him for judgment. Book of Mormon, page 106:10 (Heorq. Ed.), Utah Ed., page 67:5. He shed his blood and cross from the dead. He lives for ever more as our GOD AND SAVIOUR if we heed His words, see His sacrifice and our need of it. God laid a PLAN OF SALVATION mankind: it being that He, God, would come into the world, clothed in flesh, walk among men, PARTAKING OF NO SIN, allowing sinful men to do unto him AS THEY DESIRED. He would be called Christ the Redeemer. Be cause HIS WORDS, HIS LIFE, HIS POWER, AND ALL THAT HE WAS God has COMMANDED. ALL MAN KIND TO REPENT, and avail them selves of salvation provided in the Christ. HE BEING THE PLAN OF SAL· VATION. Book of Mormon page 347: 54 (Reorg. Ed,), Utah Ed. page 227:33. If we refuse this salvation and walk in our own ways, UNTIL THE DEATH OF THE MORTAL BODY, OUR DAY OF PROBATION IS OVER. We will be resurrected by the power of the resur rection of Christ to stand before OUR CREATOR AND REDEEMER. We will receive according to our choice. If our choice is to come to Christ, to be spir itually BORN AGAIN, having HIS IMAGE RESTORED AGAIN IN US, we shall have ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH HIS BLOOD AND FORGIVENESS OF 6 7 for .. |
