Show stand that GOD HIMSELF SHALL COME DOWN AMONG the children of men, and shall redeem his people; and because HE DWEbLETH IN FLESH,' He shall BE CALL ED the SQn of GQd. 9 Jesus said, ". arise and come forth unto me, that ye may thrust your hands into my side, and also that ye may feel the prints of the nails in my hands, and in my feet, THAT YE MAY KNOW THAT I AM THE GOD OFISRAEL,ANDTHEGODOFTHEWHOLE EARTH, and have been SLAIN FOR THE SINS OF THEWORLD." 10 ThQmassaid,MYLORDAND MY GOD, 11 Hear, 0 Israel the LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD." 12 These scriptures are SO' plain if anyone wants the truth. God's revelation of Himself IS COMPLETE. NO' place in the scriptures is the word trinity to' be found, The interpretation of the Father, SQn and Holy Ghost AS A TRINITY comes from the carnal mind. The spiritual mind understands that GOD IS A SPIRIT and that THE FATHER is the sum total of ALL THE SPIRIT OF GOD. The SQn is of that Spirit and was GQd manifested in the flesh. The Holy Ghost is that Spirit and is given as the Comforter to' every believer TO BE OUR LIFE AND GUIDE. There is only ONE GOD and Jesus Christwas GQd Himself come into the world to' die for sinners. He was not all of God's Spirit in the flesh, but HE WAS OF IT and SO' was and is GQd Almighty. The Bible and the BQQk of Mormon are defmite in their teach ings Qf only one GQd, NOT TWO, NOT THREE, NOT MANY, BUT ONE. Paul said, ONE LORD, 13 one faith, one baptism". When a crafty lawyer was questioning one of God's servants in the BQQk of Mormon, we find this question answered as to' hQW ee many Gods there are: And Zeezrom said unto him, ThQU sayest there is A TRUE AND LIVING GOD? And Amulek (God's servant) said, Yea, there is a . . ••• 2 true and a living GQd. NQW Zeezrom said, IS THERE MORE THAN ONE GOD? And he answereth, NQW Zeezrom saith again unto him, IS NO. THE SON OF GOD THE VERY ETERNALFATH ER?· And Amulek said unto him, YEA, HE IS THE VERY ETERNAL FATHER OF HEAVEN AND OF EARTH, and all things which in them is; He is the 14 beginning and the end, the first, and the last" There could not be a plainer answer to' this ques tion, but unless we accept God's revelation of Him self instead of trusting the teachings of men we can not see or understand. As we have brought out there is no such teaching as a trinity in the Bible or BOQk of Mormon. The word trinity is not found in the Bible or BQQk of Mormon. This teaching has come to' us by man. If we would know GQd and understand Him,- we must take His word concerning Himself and cast aside all the teach ings contrary to' God's word, His word says, NO MAN HATH SEEN GOD AT ANY TIME; the 15 hath declared him." only begotten SQn, For Christ WhQ is the image of the INVISIBLE Which in his Urnes he shall shew, who GOD, 16 is the blessed and ONLY POTENTATE, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; WhO' ONLY hath immortality, dwelling in the light WHICH NO MAN CAN APPROACH UNTO; whom NO MAN HATH SEEN, NOR CAN SEE: to' whom be honour and 17 "Jn the mouth of 'TWO power everlasting." OR THREE WITNESSES every word may be NO OTHER WITNESS OF GOD established." 18 has ever made such a claim as J oseph Smith in this 1820 vision, Stephen did not claim this when he said he sa W Christ sitting on the right hand of GQd. The right hand of GQd represents God's saving e e power and Christ said, ALL POWER is given unto 19 for CHRIST WAS me in heaven and in earth," . . . . • • . • 3 . |
