Show Record Exhibit No. 84, also prepared by him and being comparison of the slopes of the Colorado, Green and San Juan Rivers with some of the other principal rivers of the United States; and Exhibit No. 85, compiled by Mr. Hoyt and being a description of the Colorado, Green and San Juan Rivers and tributaries, were received in evi-dence. 250 After completing my examination of the Colorado River, I proceeded to the San River, going overland by automobile to Shiprock, New Mexico, and thence to the common corner of the States of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Utah, referred to as 251 the our Corners. I made a report on there trips. 251 - 254 The report last referred to by the witness was marked for identification Exhibit No. 86, but after some argument and discussion it was not received in evidence at this time. Exhibit No. 87, being pictures taken on his San Juan trip by the witness 255 was received in evidence, as was Exhibit No. 88, being a compilation by the witness of the stream flow characteristics of the three rivers as indicated at the base gauging stations. 256 In asking the computations contained in Exhibit No. 88, fully nine- tenths of all of the figures purporting to show discharge in run- off are taken from official records, but the exhibit does not purport to be a copy of all of the readings at the gauging 257 stations. The computations made by me in this exhibit are from the records of extreme high water to low water, with maximum and minimum, and where any variations are referred to by me, the 258 figures given in the report are always actual figures of gaugings 259 at the same station. Each page of this exhibit refers to one particular stations, or, as on the Green River, to gaugings made at different points, which for all practical purposes would be the same. 260 - 264 The following exhibits, being records of the gauging stations at the points indicated below, were received in evidence: - 35 - |
