I ~ould treat them no differently than I ~ould treat the commanding officer, in the same respect. I felt that '"e had a really good ~orking relationship. The men did a lot for me. They ~orked hard for me. They ~ere my baby sitters and they used to come over and have beer ~ith me. That ~as pretty exciting to have particular friendships like that. I kno~ that I planted seeds there. I started guys in school, tutoring and things, all kinds of things. When I ~as in the service I continued to go t o school, continued to fly and ~as promoted early all the ~ay along. Had good officer evaluations. When I finished flight school training I finished second out of ninty - six in my class. I could have chosen anything I wanted to do. I ~anted to do something that my family wouldn't have , I wouldn't have to be seperated from my family so much even though it wa s n't as glamorous. So I became a V.I.P. pilot, flying admirals and people all over the country. So I went all over the world. I have been around the world probably two or three times. Been to every country in the world except Communist China and Russia. I have been to Cuba, the Bahamas, the islands in the Pacific, the islands in the Alantic, Greenland, Iceland, Nova Scotia, the Scandivan countries, Europe, Africa, South America, Japan, all the Pacific islands, Australia. So I got to see a lot of the world which was really enjoyable for me, plus it was a great learning experience because I got to meet
