Show UTOA Review of the Foot Ball Season of 1911COACH FRED BENNIONIN THE hardest schedule the College ever played, with one of the lightest and most inexperienced teams that ever represented the institution, Utah ran a great race for the Rocky Mountain championship. Starting out the season with only three regular veterans from the previous year, the team slowly rounded into form and unexpectedly pounded outAnother Point for Utahvictory after victory, and, although losing to Boulder, came back Thanksgiving day and won a glorious triumph over the strong Idaho eleven.In many respects, the 1911 team was a remarkable organization. Instead of the usual thirteen or fourteen men that have comprised our 'Varsity teams in the past, this year's team consisted of twenty-three hard working athletes, all of whom were eligible during the entire season; were out to practice every night; and were ready to play in any game. Twenty-two of these men participated in actual games. For every position on the team there were at least two good men, and every man knew how to play at least two positions.
